DDBGS Work Bee - Volunteers Needed
Jun 19, 2020

DDBGS Work Bee
Saturday, June 27th    9:00am to 12:00pm

Our weekly maintenance groups have been working hard and our Educational Display Garden is looking good this season. Now we can start a few work bees to meet special projects goals for the garden.

Join us next Saturday June 27th from 9am to 12 noon to help put in cedar edging along the lawn garden borders. We also plan to do some weeding in areas the maintenance groups haven’t gotten too yet.

We can accomplish this while still meeting social distancing requirements and other health requirements. There is a hand washing station and disinfection supplies in the compound.  We ask volunteers to bring own gloves and tools such as shovels and weeding tools. If society tools are needed, they will be disinfected.  Please bring your own water, coffee and snacks.

If you haven’t been up to EDG lately, I encourage you to make a visit. The lilacs are blooming and several projects are completed and/or underway such as the thyme bed with memorial to Susannah Pow and arbor entrance and monument in perennial beds.

Thank you and hope to see you on June 27th.   Patricia Covington, Chair of EDG     covingto@telus.net
