Tam Andersen: Horticulturalist and Global TV Woman of Vision shares 40 years of experience in growing fruit on the prairies! Her business - Prairie Gardens - has been in operation as a tree nursery since 1956. Heritage apples and pick-your-own strawberries have been mainstays at this small scale family farm, along with the latest introductions from the University of Saskatchewan fruit breeding program. She and her daughter, Laurel have planted hundreds of fruit trees in their Prairie Orchard at their farm just north of Edmonton, AB.  Come learn about hardy zone 3 fruit that you can grow in your own backyard.
