Learn about the magic of eco printing - a sustainable, botanical dyeing technique that transfers the natural colours and shapes of real flowers and leaves onto cotton fabric.
Each eco printed piece of fabric is a unique creation. Using only plant materials, heat, and time, the prints capture the delicate beauty of nature - no synthetic dyes, no harsh chemicals, just the vibrant pigments of petals and foliage.
Eco print your own organic cotton Mull shawl and a silk or wool sampler supplied by Cat Sivertsen.
Bring lunch for a potluck, and your own plants to use for dyeing - fireweed, yarrow, goldenrod, rose flowers and leaves, coreopsis, marigold, maple leaves, alder, dried or fresh hibiscus flowers, eucalyptus leaves, rhododendron leaves.
